Zizkov has the highest concentration of bars, clubs and holes in the wall than any other area of Prague. Situated in Prague 3, Zizkov is widely known as Vinoradhy's smaller neighbour, just to the east of its more expensive sister neighbourhood. A great location for those who wish to explore the nightlife and experience a more local, Czech atmosphere.
Getting Around:
There are plenty of buses and trams which go to the city centre although the area does not have its own metro station.
Famous Monuments:
One of the largest equestrian statues in the world overlooks the northeastern area of Zizkov. Weighing an incredible 16.5 tonnes, it was built to commemorate the Hussite hero Jan Zizka. Just behind, you can find the national mausoleum which was built as a tribute to WW1 Czechoslovakian legions.
Nightlife:
Matrix is a very cool club, which hosts live acts who play at an ear-splitting volume. Cheap drinks, friendly crowd and an excellent playlist guarantee a good, if a bit noisy night out.
RadostFX is without doubt the most glam club in the area, and plays mostly house music to the young and beautiful of Prague. Go as glam as you can and mingle with well known local and international DJ's.
The recently opened Ridgeback is an African bar with a fantastic live music line-up, from djembe drummers to authentic Brazilian samba and everything inbetween. A very international crowd frequent this bar and party until the small hours. A relaxed and informal atmosphere, don't worry about dressing up.
Na Policce is one police station you might be glad to stay in. A generally young clientele drink well-priced local draft and bottle beers, plus there is a good food menu and cocktail list.
