Municipality located in the boundary with Urgell and Conca de Barberà regions. The town has often been misplaced in various administrative areas ( Tarragona, Montblanc, Cervera, Vic,...).
The township takes up 1097 km2. The town has an average altitude of 570 meters over sea level. The highest peak is el Cap de Cans (759 meters), from where the Forés and Saladern brooks join the Corb River
. The town has 440 hectares of pine and holm-oak woods. There are also pasture-lands, cereal fields, olive groves and vineyards.
