The Sagrada Familia is perhaps the most emblematic image of Barcelona and certainly the most visited tourist attraction. Located in the heart of the city this area is perfect for those who want a very central base during their stay. Revel in the stunning architecture by Gaudi, visited by over two million visitors a year. Only a few minutes walk from Plaça España, you can explore a lot of the city on foot from this area.

Getting Around:
The closest metro station is Sagrada Familia (Blue Line, L5) and (Purple Line, L2).

Famous Monuments:
The Sagrada Familia is a temple, originally constructed by Gaudí in the 19th century, and it is still under construction to this day! One of the most famous attractions in Spain, it draws over two million visitors per day. Rich with Christian symbolism, even in its finest details, and its two most striking features are its splindle-shaped towers. It is estimated to be finished in 2026 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Gaudís death, however this date is by no means certain! Admission is 8 euros.

Nightlife:
There are plenty of bars and clubs open until the small hours to keep you entertained and as with any cosmopolitan city anyone will find something to suit. Mojito Club, the international latino club has Caribbean influences and caters to a large latin music loving crowd. The dancers will show you how to salsa properly and they really include the crowd in their acts. Blue Ice Bar has a crystal bar and is predominantly blue but don't assume this bar is cold...it has a great reputatation as one of the friendliest in Barcelona. A great variety of theme nights are held there, and Tuesdays to Sunday you can enjoy spanish music, Flamenco Jazz, Dancing classes and Reggeaton Music.

Gastronomy:
Buda Bar is a venue of refined taste, where you can enjoy the best drinks at the spacious bar or more relaxed in the private area with subtle lighting. One of the most popular entertainment venues in Barcelona, full of beautiful people and great music. Virtually all music genres are played and staff are experienced and multi-lingual. Eterna is a thematic restaurant, serving food from around the world and offering a unique space for any event or occasion. A very creative, evolving menu and friendly staff provide a great night out in Barcelona.
