Ruzyne, in Prague 6, is located approximately 10 kilometres north-west of Prague city centre.
Getting Around: Cedaz minibus shuttles leave regularly for the city centre; they can drop passengers off at hotels throughout the city. Public buses have regular services to all areas of Prague, however unless you are not under time pressure, they are only advised for those who know the city well. Taxis are also available.
Places to visit: The Renaissance summer palace in Obora Hvězda park, was built in 1555 by Archduke Ferdinand of Tyrol for his wife. The building is noted for its beautiful plasterwork by Italian artists, and there is an exhibition about the Battle of White Mountain in the basement. The park attracts visitors all year round, in winter it is a favourite place for cross-country skiing.
