Puigpunyent is a village approximately 15 kilometres from Palma. It lies in a valley surrounded by mountains. Life is quiet here, the influx from tourism is only from passers by. The valley is hot in the summer, and there is also a public swimming pool which opened July/August.
Nature:
The valley of Puigpunyent is surrounded by Puig de Galatzo, 1035 metres high, Mola de la Planícia, 932 metres high, and Fita des Ram, 833 metres high. Pine trees abound in the local area which also include beautiful examples of hundred-year-old holm oak trees.
