This area is located in Prague 9, on the north-east side of Prague. A quiet, residential area, yet up and coming with new developments being built all the time. This area is a good choice for those who wish to stay in a more tranquil area, less frequented by the tourists.
Getting Around:
The nearest metro station is Palmovka, and an extension of line C is currently underway to provide the area with its own metro station, which is estimated to be finished in the later part of 2007. It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the city centre.
Alternative Activities:
For a slightly out of the ordinary activity, why not indulge in a days bobsleighing. Open from 10:00 until 22:00 daily, almost anyone can take part, whether you want to take it a bit easier on the track, or go for maximum exhilaration speeding down at 50 kilometres per hour! As if that wasn't enough, at the end of the run there is a lift that takes you directly to a pizzeria for a well-earned rest and refreshments.
At night the view of the lights of Prague is spectacular, either from the terrace or on the bobsleigh run.
