One of the most popular areas of Barcelona, a beach paradise but with all the comforts of a city location. Plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants to keep you entertained but not excessive, to preserve the areas cleanliness. Platja de Bogatell is Barcelona's beach and is steady with tourists from June to September. Very impressive area of Barcelona and a great base for families and couples.

Excellent public transport links make this area very accessible, only about 10 minutes to reach the city centre.
Beaches:
Platja de Bogatell, Barcelona's beach impresses as it is far better quality than many other city beaches. 640 metres in length, this is the escape for many locals and tourists who need time out from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Easily accessible by metro, take line 4 and get off at Poblenou i Llacuna station, or bus numbers 6, 36, 41, 92 and 141 will take you there. There is parking space for about 600 cars.
Facts for Travellers:
In recent years there has been an unfortunate rise in petty crime in Barcelona, particularly in tourist areas. Just remember to keep an eye on your belongings and avoid carrying very expensive items with you, particularly at night.
Nightlife:
Shoko is a Japanese restaurant during the day and early evening, and from Thursdays through to Sundays it turns into a club open from 00:00 - 03:00.
Great decoration, 3 bars and different levels. Definitely worth a visit.
Music style is mostly house but on Special evenings you can expect R 'n' B Hip hop and funky as well.

Very popular with the rich, famous and wannabees. Before 00:30 also a good place to dine, and lay back in comfortable lounge sofas. Great terrace with beach- and check out the seaview!
