Karlin is slightly to the north-east of the city centre in Prague 8, and is abundant with Baroque architecture. Having undergone extensive reconstruction after the flood in 2002 the area has been greatly improved. This area borders with Zizkov, both being generally artistic areas.
Getting Around:
You can reach the city centre by tram, or the nearest Metro stations are Ivalidovna or Palmovka on the orange "B" line. For some fresh air and sight-seeing, Wenceslas Square is only a 15-minute walk and Karlin is close to the Vltava river.
Alternative Activities:
Theatre lovers should head for the Karlin Music Theatre where there are productions of many famous musicals such as West Side Story and Chicago.
