Bunyola is an area of Mallorca situated at the foot of the Tramuntana mountain range, some 14 kilometres from the capital city. It has an area of 8,414 hectares, and an approximate population of 4,500.
Events: Fiesta of La Mare de Deu de Lluc is held on a Saturday in June in Orient. The fiesta of La Mare de Deu de les Neus is held on August 5th. The Patron Saints Day of Sant Mateu is held on September 21st and there is an open-air market every Saturday in Bunyola Square.
Nature: The Alfabia mountains reach over 1000 metres high. Main areas of interest include the Commune of Bunyola, a publicly owned farm covered with pine and holm trees. The Es Freu spring is located at the torrent of Coanegra.
Places to visit: The church of Sant Mateu of Bunyola, the beautiful gardens of Alfabia and Raixa and the hamlet of Orient are well worth visiting.
