Located just to the south-east of the city centre, this area is a quieter, leafy part of Dublin, between Ballsbridge and just on the edges of Georgian Dublin, rich with history and cultural places to visit. Easy public transport links to the heart of the city, although many of Dublin's major attractions are within walking distance. Great clubs and restaurants can be found here, and generally not as crowded as the Temple bar area.

Places to visit:
The National Print Museum is housed in a former soldiers' chapel and is home to a unique collection of implements, artefacts and machines from all sectors of the printing industry in Ireland, many still in good working order. Of particular interest are the newspaper articles documentating important historical events in Ireland's history, and the museum even houses some of the earliest computer technology. Address: Garrison Chapel, Beggars Bush, Haddington Rd, Dublin 4. Opening Times: May to September, Mon-Fri: 10:00-12:30, 14:30 17:00. Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays: 12:00-17:00. Nightlife:
Located near Baggot Street, O'Donoghue's is a truly authentic Dublin pub, with a rowdy atmosphere that is essential for fans of traditional Irish music. With photos of famous Irish bands such as the Dubliners, someone is almost bound to start an impromptu music session every night. One of the handful of pubd that is equally popular with tourists and locals. It can be an acquired taste, but Jury's Irish Cabaret has attained legendary status. Well established for over 40 years, the two-hour show features Irish music, comedy and dance. Special packages are available including à la carte meals and drinks.

Gastronomy:
Bella Cuba is an authentic Cuban restaurant which serves tasty food at reasonable prices. The Seasons restaurant within the world famous Four Seasons Hotel serves exquisite, freshly prepared cuisine by some of the best international chefs. You can't find a more Irish eatery than L'Ecrivain, with its yellow walls adorned by portraits if Irish literary giants such as James Joyce and Seamus Heaney. the menu is constantly changing and offers a good variety of Irish and international cuisine. Toner's is a Victorian pub and with its stone floors and glass-glazed partitions, friendly conversation and a relaxed atmosphere, is the perfect antidote to some of the trendy, sterile new crop of bars.
